## Summary

Newcastle University is seeking a supplier to support the migration of its Realising Opportunities (RO) website from Adobe Business Catalyst to a new Content Management System (CMS). This project is categorized under business services, specifically within the programming services and marketing sectors. The procurement method used is selective, adhering to a restricted procedure, with the initial contract period starting from 18 March 2021 and concluding on 1 July 2021. The tender was completed on 22 February 2021, and the awarded contract was valued at £12,949.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in web development, CMS migrations, and user experience optimisation to expand their business. Companies that offer training services related to CMS usage would also be well-positioned to compete effectively for this contract, allowing them to leverage their expertise in delivering tailored digital solutions to educational institutions.

## Notice

The current Realising Opportunities (RO) website is housed on the Content Management System (CMS), Adobe Business Catalyst which is due to close in September 2021 and as such a full migration of the current website to another CMS is required. The website migration project aims to not only re-establish the RO website in another CMS, but also to review current analytics with a view to optimising user journeys and develop a new area of the website to showcase the project's evaluation. We are seeking to appoint a supplier to migrate RO's current website to a new CMS, suggest some minor improvements to optimise user experience and support with training RO staff on the CMS. The following steps set out the work required: 1. Pre-migration 2. New CMS build and setup 3. Migration & UAT 4. Go Live, Training and future maintenance
