Commissioned by West Yorkshire Combined Authority, this project aims to provide specialist support to green tech businesses in the region to transition to net zero. The deadline for submission of tender documents is 17:00 on Wednesday 26th June 2024, with a contract period from 3rd July 2024 to 31st January 2025. This tender opportunity presents a chance for businesses involved in energy-efficiency consultancy services, research consultancy services, and economic research and impact assessment services to grow their operations. The procurement method for this process is an open procedure below threshold, providing a fair chance for a diverse range of businesses to participate and contribute to the green economy initiative in Yorkshire and the Humber. ## Notice Growing the Green Economy in West Yorkshire - Associate Advisor Green Economy are proud to be part of the Growth Company (GC). The Growth Company is a social enterprise, that delivers skills, employment, consultancy, and business support services across the UK - with the aim of enabling growth, creating jobs, and improving lives. Green Economy have been commissioned by West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) through UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UK SPF) to deliver business growth support to green tech businesses or those looking to diversify into the sector based in the 5 local authority areas of the region. In collaboration with our project partner MCS (Microgeneration Certified Scheme), the UK's leading standards organisation for the small-scale renewables market, this project will provide specialist support and advice to businesses, establishing a robust, competitive supply chain that will enable WY businesses to transition to net zero with local, trusted partners. The project is made up of the four core components, which: * stimulate innovation; * support the adoption of new products and services; * build a community of installers/suppliers; * help WYCA to tackle the climate emergency.
