## Summary

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, a prominent UNESCO World Heritage site located in Kew, Richmond, is currently at the award stage of a significant procurement process titled "Major Works - Programme Contracting Partner." This initiative falls within the construction industry and has an overall estimated value of £50 million, with an annual investment between £5 million and £10 million planned for the next five years. The tender period concluded on 8th December 2016, and the contract period will extend from 10th April 2017 to 31st March 2022. The selected supplier, John Grahams Construction Limited, has been awarded the contract as of 18th April 2017.

This procurement process presents substantial growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) engaged in construction and heritage conservation. Businesses specialising in construction works, refurbishment of historical sites, and other related services would find this tender particularly relevant. The unique scope of projects, which includes structural repairs and heritage specialisms, highlights the demand for expertise in managing both modern construction challenges and the preservation of historic buildings.
