Brief description: We are looking for a Senior Information Governance Officer to join our busy and supportive Governance and Regulatory team. The postholder will provide advice and guidance in relation to FOIs/SARs and wider data protection matters across the Council. The successful candidate will have 5 years' experience of working in a complex environment, including 2 years' experience of information governance, or data protection. The successful candidate will be expected to o Provide advice in relation to complex requests under Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004 o Provide advice in relation to UK GDPR and compliance with Individual Rights. o Lead on specific project work relating to information governance within the team o Conduct data breach investigations in order to determine whether they are reportable to the ICO in conjunction with the DPO. o Be an active member of the Council's Information Governance Board and support and promote high standards of information governance across the Council Please note this advert is also out with our Master Vendor You will receive further information regarding invoice terms if your candidate is appointed to this role.
