## Notice

The proposed strengthening works involves taking down 450mm thick, 1000mm high and about 180 linear m parapet walls. The mortared wall below road level will be raked out, repointed and pressure grouted. Gabion walls will be constructed in front of the existing repointed walls which will act as a buttress. The gabion baskets will be up to carriageway level. New 450mm wide, 1200mm high masonry faced parapet wall with concrete infill built along the same alignment. Weep holes shall be cored through the grouted wall at 2m centres.
