The Service will be an integral part of Gloucestershire's QA programme. The programme provides oversight, support and scrutiny across health and social care services commissioned for individuals with learning disabilities, physical and sensory disabilities, mental health issues and/or autism. The Service will be responsible for undertaking quality assurance assessments across the range of the disabilities care and support sector. The Service will be led by an organisation who have the skills, knowledge and proficiency to be able to do so comprehensively. The Service will hold the role of Experts by Experience at the forefront, ensuring their knowledge, skills and experience are utilised to direct and develop the Service as well as lead the findings and recommendations it makes to commissioned services.
