Commissioned services within the Community and Lifestyle Weight Management Service specification are based on lifestyle and community weight management programmes. These are what are usually referred to as Tier 2 interventions. The provision of interventions as part of this service must be focused on a lifestyle and behaviour change to support sustainable change, self-efficacy, weight loss and prevention of weight gain.
