## Summary

Solihull Council is seeking to procure a cloud-based Common Data Environment (CDE) focused on Building Information Modelling and Management. The tender, titled "SOL - Common Data Environment," aims to facilitate collaborative access to various file types needed for construction projects, ensuring compliance with BS1192 and PAS1192-2 standards. This procurement falls under the goods category, with a total contract value of £250,000 over a potential three-year term starting in March 2018, extending to February 2021, with options for yearly extensions. The tender period will close on 21st February 2018, and the contract will be executed at the address located in Solihull, West Midlands.

This opportunity is poised to benefit software developers and IT service providers specialising in cloud-based solutions, particularly those with expertise in managing complex data and compliance with industry standards. Businesses that can demonstrate experience in document management services and software development will be well-positioned to compete. The open procurement method ensures accessibility for SMEs, allowing them to establish connections and potentially expand their offerings within the construction and building management sector.

## Notice

Solihull Council is looking to acquire a cloud based (SaaS) central data store that all consultants and stakeholders have access to, commonly marketed as a Common Data Environment (CDE). Solihull Council has special requirements, in that the product has to read and distribute a large number of file types, heavy with data and some of which are large in size. Some files are specific to the building industry and therefore need to be BS1192 and PAS1192-2 compliant. With our Building Design Group operating as a business unit, we are hoping that they will be able to market their improved capabilities to potential clients and demonstrate an extremely high level of control over construction contracts, from the feasibility stage, through to facilities management and beyond into completion. This will assist in their business re-alignment and goal of achieving BIM Level 2. The proposed contract term is for a period of 3 years from March 2018 to February 2021 with options to extend for 12 x 1 years. (Precise dates to be decided with winning bidder prior to contract signature) Additional information: Please register via the Council's e-procurement system - CSW-JETS http://www.csw-jets.co.uk/ CSW-JETS is a sub-regional e-tendering portal run by In-tend. Since February 2010, Coventry; Solihull; Warwickshire; Nuneaton and Bedworth; Rugby alongside other local district Councils have been working together as a shared procurement service. In conjunction with Solihull Community Housing, we have joined together to bring you a collaborative E-Tendering portal. CSW-JETS enables us to advertise our opportunities across all authorities through the same system. This means that there is a single point of contact for procurement in the sub-region so you only have to register once to receive notifications for all authorities. Registering on the portal will make it easier for local suppliers to find, respond to and be alerted to tender opportunities. Registration is free, and takes just a few minutes. When complete, you will be able to express interest in any of the Councils'/Authorities' opportunities when they are made available including this tender. In addition, we will be able to access your details whenever we have a requirement, and you may then be invited to tender or quote for work. Once you are registered and log in to the system you will be able to locate the tender opportunity, express interest and access the documentation. Is a Recurrent Procurement Type? : No
