## Notice

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities is looking to commission research to improve the department's understanding of how population size, population density and geography impact on the performance of unitary local authorities and to explore whether there is an optimal scale for unitary councils. This will support the department's work in assessing any future proposals for unitarisation. Full details are set out in the document attached to this Notice. This research is likely to be commissioned through the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) - RM6126 Research and Insights.
