A particular requirement is to perform tests under slow fatigue and dwell fatigue cycles. The baseline cycle is trapezoidal 1-1-1-1 seconds and the dwell cycle is up to 1-3600-1-1 seconds. A machine rated to 100kN equipped with a load cell of 100kN is required. The budget for this equipment is approximately PS45,000 to PS50,000. This project is funded by the European Structural Investment Funds. Should the project encounter any budgetary constraints then the University reserves the right to withdraw the requirement.
