## Summary

The University of Sunderland is conducting a public procurement process titled "SAM - Robot Technology Demonstrator and Robotic Automation Line". This procurement falls under the industrial machinery category, with an emphasis on robotic technology. The tender was active until 13th May 2019 and encompasses significant deliverables, including a 6-axis robot demonstration cell and a multi-robot automated production line. The project aims to enhance knowledge transfer within the North East of England and is set to execute between 1st June 2019 and 31st December 2020.

This opportunity presents a significant avenue for growth primarily for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) involved in robotics and automation technologies. Companies that offer innovative robotic solutions or automation services are particularly well-placed to compete for this contract. The emphasis on open, flexible systems suitable for demonstration purposes also invites businesses with capabilities in knowledge transfer and advanced manufacturing techniques to participate, potentially enhancing their market presence and operational expertise.
