Brief Description of Requirement This specification defines requirements for the design, fabrication and testing of Xenon flashlamps to be used in laser rod amplifiers by the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL). To pump 16 mm diameter to 45 mm diameter liquid cooled Nd:phosphate glass laser amplifiers at energies in the range shown in the below.
