## Summary

The Blackpool Council is seeking contractors for the "Permanent Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) Supply & Installation" project, aimed at enhancing safety against vehicle-related terrorist threats in bustling town centre areas. This procurement, classified under "Bollards" and related to the "Installation of street furniture," is currently in the active tender stage, with the deadline for submission set for 11 January 2019. The expected contract period will commence on 11 February 2019 and conclude by 12 April 2019, with related works proposed along key streets such as Promenade and Victoria Street in North West, United Kingdom.

This project presents significant business growth opportunities for SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) experienced in civil engineering, particularly in urban infrastructure development and public safety solutions. Companies that specialise in the provision and installation of safety equipment—such as PAS 68 compliant bollards and gates—are well-suited to compete for this contract, which not only involves installation but also necessitates liaison with stakeholders and traffic management during implementation.
