## Summary

The Isle of Wight Council has completed the awarding stage for its tender titled "User Led Organisation," focused on social work and related services. This procurement, initiated under an open procedure, invited organisations with experience in social care to provide a variety of services throughout the Isle of Wight. The tender was classified under the CPV code 85300000, targeting social work services with an estimated value of £250,000. The contract period is slated to run from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2027, with an additional option for a two-year extension. The award was published on 24th June 2025, and the main contract was awarded to Help and Care, a small to medium enterprise (SME) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisation based in Dorset.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in social care and related services, particularly those experienced in addressing the needs of adults with diverse social care requirements, including older people, individuals with disabilities, and those facing mental health challenges. Enterprises that can demonstrate robust governance, financial sustainability, and a commitment to best practice stand to benefit. SMEs and VCSEs, in particular, are well-positioned to compete, as the project emphasises collaboration with local communities and resources. The tender also highlights the potential for organisations to establish themselves as leading providers of social care services on the Isle of Wight and beyond, potentially catalysing further business development and reputation enhancement in the sector.
