## Summary

The Ministry of Defence has completed a procurement process titled "704399451-47 - MSS/142 MRO056_CAN", which is a framework agreement focusing on Maritime Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul services for Royal Navy platforms. This contract involves a variety of global locations, including British Overseas Territories, Channel Islands, Europe, Isle of Man, and the United Kingdom. The procurement falls under the industry category of repair and maintenance services of warships (CPV: 50640000) and follows a selective procurement method under the DSPCR 2011 regulations. The procurement stage is at the award stage as of 26 January 2026, and the framework contract is set to run until 31 March 2031, with a maximum value of £317 million. The specific mini-competition call-off contract for Fluid System items was awarded on 8 April 2025.

This procurement provides significant opportunities for businesses involved in ship maintenance and overhaul services, particularly those capable of engaging with the operational needs of military naval platforms. The framework allows for multiple call-off contracts and mini-competitions, presenting ongoing opportunities for growth and competitive engagement. SMEs and voluntary sector organisations are encouraged to participate, demonstrating a suitable opportunity for diverse suppliers to bid for contracts throughout the framework's lifespan. Large-scale suppliers like Score Marine Ltd and CARWOOD MOTOR UNIT LTD already participate, implying that companies of similar scale and capability would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, the restricted procedure employed suggests a competitive process tailored for specialised service providers within the defence sector.
