This is a 15-month term contract (commencing 1st April 2025 - until 30th June 2026). This project develops and delivers e-cycle initiatives to maximise e-cycling opportunities by embedding the benefits from the national programme and Phase 1 of the project (July 2024 - March 2025). The Council has a fleet of 97 e-cycles to be used for this project The Council aim to improve public health and address social inequality by increasing access to active travel. This responds to the Council's declared climate emergency and the rising public health challenge of inactivity-related disease. We see wider benefits from reducing congestion by converting short car journeys to active modes.
