## Summary

The Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Services is seeking tenders for the project titled "Safe and Well Software Development," aimed at providing a software solution for managing data related to Safe and Well visits. This procurement falls under the IT services industry category, specifically focusing on consulting, software development, and support. The tender is currently in the planning stage, with a total budget of £20,000 allocated for the project. The contract is expected to commence on 1 April 2017 and continue until 31 March 2019. Key documents related to this opportunity have been published, with the latest notice issued on 5 January 2017.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in IT services, software development, and data management solutions. Companies providing innovative software solutions for community safety initiatives, with a solid understanding of the requirements for secure data management and communication, would be well-suited to compete for this contract. The focus on health risks alongside fire safety suggests a need for holistic software solutions that can integrate with existing frameworks used by fire and rescue services.

## Notice

* Description To provide software solution to allow secure data management of Safe and Well visits, which form a pivotal part of Fire Service Community Safety work, are extensions of the Home Fire Risk Check visits and are carried out by Fire and Rescue Staff and Volunteers. By focusing on health risks as well as just fire, and referring residents to other agencies, they can have a much bigger impact. This is a National initiative and further information on the principles and approach can be viewed here: https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/safe-well-visit-pinciples.pdf Additional information: A demonstration of the current system in use will be made available to help to confirm the specification required for the new system.
