## Notice

Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) are planning on commencing the procurement of the waste and recycling collections and street cleansing service over the next 6 month. The current contracts are due to end in March 2026 and the procurement will be aiming to achieve mobilisation and service commencement under a new contract from April 2026. The current intention is to advertise the opportunity on Find a Tender Service (FTS) and Contracts Finder in the period of July-August 2024. The primary scope of works for the contract will include: For the Waste Collection this will include the collection of the following household wastes: * Residual waste * Mixed dry recycling * Food waste * Garden waste * Bulky waste * Clinical waste * Waste container deliveries For the Street cleansing this will include: * Street cleansing * Litter bin emptying * Fly tip collection * Flyposting & graffiti removal * Removal of dead animals * Weed management The contract is expected to be awarded in spring 2025, to allow for sufficient time for mobilisation.
