## Summary

The NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is seeking to award a contract for the "Provision of Primary Care Out of Hours Services," an initiative aimed at serving over 635,000 residents in Gloucestershire. This procurement falls under the health services category and is currently in the award stage. The estimated contract value ranges between £5.3 million and £5.9 million for a period of 10 months, starting from 1 June 2017 and potentially extending for an additional 12 months. Interested parties were required to submit their Standard Selection Questionnaire (SSQ) by 21 October 2016.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses focused on healthcare services, particularly those that can provide innovative, cost-effective solutions in a collaborative environment. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary community social enterprises (VCSEs) would be well-suited to compete, especially those experienced in delivering integrated urgent care services. This initiative also allows businesses to align themselves with NHS strategies, potentially leading to longer-term contracts as the CCG is considering a broader urgent care strategy beginning April 2018.

Bidders should be aware that existing staff groups may be eligible for TUPE transfer under any new contract let. NHS Gloucestershire CCG intends to award a new contract for a period of 10 months. The CCG plans to incorporate the option of a 12 month extension within this contract. The CCG is considering its wider urgent care strategy and plans to offer a longer term contract from 1 April 2018 via competitive tender.
