## Summary

The NHS Shared Business Services has awarded a contract titled "Hospital to Home Discharge Support Service" for the location of Hammersmith and Fulham, Central and West London. This initiative, classified under health services, aims to support the discharge of patients from hospitals like Imperial and Chelsea and Westminster. The procurement process, which employed a direct method via single tender action, is completed with a contract value of £386,348. The contract duration spans from 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2023, following its official award on 22nd October 2020.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses that specialise in health and social care services, particularly those that can provide integrated support in discharge processes. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that focus on patient care, home support, and community services would be well-positioned to engage in similar tenders in the future. The continuity of essential services in this sector suggests an ongoing demand for providers capable of ensuring safe and efficient patient transitions from hospital to home.
