The Service will provide urgent dental out of hours services for residents in the West Midlands as well as visitors, temporary residents and those signposted into treatment from other neighbouring areas by NHS 111. Urgent dental care services are important in managing severe dental and facial pain by providing definitive dental treatment in circumstances where: * Prompt care and treatment is provided because, in the opinion of the dental practitioner, the person's oral health is likely to deteriorate significantly, or the person is in severe pain by reason of his or her oral condition, and; * Care and treatment is provided only to the extent that is necessary to prevent deterioration in oral health or address severe pain.
