## Summary

The procurement process titled "HIVe - Enhanced Self-sampling Service Provider" has been conducted by the NHS Shared Business Services on behalf of the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP). This initiative, categorised under health and social work services, aims to deliver self-sampling kits for HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The procurement, which concluded its tender period on 27th June 2019, has now moved to the award stage, with the contract awarded on 7th August 2019. The contract is valued at £130,000 and is set to commence on 1st October 2019, running until 30th September 2021, specifically targeting residents in the North West region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in health services, particularly those that specialise in providing medical supplies and laboratory services. Companies capable of delivering innovative self-sampling kits and managing results effectively would be well-positioned to compete. Furthermore, small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to apply, given the flexibility and tailored approaches sought by GMHSCP. The focus on a support pathway for individuals at high risk of HIV highlights the tender's alignment with public health initiatives, offering fertile ground for businesses to expand their service offerings in this crucial area.

## Notice

Oldham Clinical Commissioning Group, on behalf of the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP) has commissioned an enhanced self-sampling service. We were looking for a partner to provide HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STI) self-sampling kits, lab and robust results management and pathway to care and support for a new targeted service (a 'membership' scheme) provided by PaSH (Passionate about Sexual Health) for Greater Manchester residents who are at highest risk of acquiring HIV. The kits will be provided online in response to a tailored plan by the PaSH service for approximately 100-150 individuals per year, and for offline distribution for a further 300-500 individuals. Flexibility for kit provision and confirmation of engagement in treatment, care and support of those with a positive/reactive result is essential. GMHSCP commissioned this project as part of the 'Ending all new cases of HIV in Greater Manchester within a generation' programme (HIV-e). Greater Manchester has signed up to the Fast Track City initiative, a global partnership committed to the aims of the UNAIDS objectives. Branding will need to align with the HIV-e programme.
