For this reason, we have taken the decision to retender these two zones togethers part of an emergency response. This will enable us to swiftly source a provider who can rapidly pick up clients in these two zones, to ensure continuity of care for our residents. Going forward, it is critical that we ensure that service provision in these two zones remains sustainable and therefore we will be introducing a different payment mechanism, linked to a consistent improvement in the hours delivered by the successful bidder. This is a single call-off seeking a Tier 1 provider to cover both zone 3 (Basingstoke West) and 4 (Eastleigh) combined. Only organisations who have contracts in these two areas will be invited to bid for this work. The successful provider will receive all referrals for domiciliary care packages for an exclusive 24-hour period.
