## Summary

The procurement process pertains to the Central Purchasing Body, ESPO, which has initiated a tender titled "953_22 Modular Buildings". This tender covers the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of modular buildings and related services across various industries, including education and healthcare. The tender is currently in the Award stage, with an overall contract value of £500 million. The contract period extends from 1st February 2022 to 30th January 2024, and the framework allows for an extension of up to 24 months. The tender process used is the open procedure, ensuring wide participation.

This procurement presents significant growth opportunities for businesses involved in modular construction and related services, particularly those with a focus on the public sector. Companies specialising in the design, manufacturing, or maintenance of prefabricated structures, particularly SMEs and voluntary community social enterprises, are well-suited to compete. Public bodies such as local authorities and educational institutions will utilise this framework, encouraging suppliers to offer both standard and bespoke modular solutions for various applications, enhancing their visibility and customer base within the public sector.
