## Summary

The University of Chester is undertaking a procurement process for technical support consultants to assist with the design and development of prototype systems under the ERDF-supported Innovation to Commercialisation (I2C) project. This project, with a budget ranging from £60,000 to £120,000, aims to enhance the capabilities of eligible SMEs in the North West of England through three key stages: Innovation Masterclasses, Technical Support, and Signposting. The tender period for applications closed on 17th July 2018, with contracts awarded on 6th August 2018, and the contract set to commence on 7th August 2018 and run until 31st October 2019. The procurement method used was an open procedure, catering specifically to service providers in the technical analysis or consultancy sector.

This tender presents significant opportunities for SME businesses engaged in technical consultancy and innovation services, particularly those with expertise in product development and process optimisation. Businesses equipped to leverage advanced skills and technologies to support the growth and competitiveness of other SMEs will find this an invaluable chance to engage with the University of Chester and its I2C project. Moreover, as the appointed providers deliver tailored support to varying requirements, potential suppliers should be prepared to meet flexible requests that may arise over the contract's duration.
