## Summary

Slough Borough Council (SBC) is currently in the tender stage for the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Network project. This initiative seeks suitably qualified ChargePoint Operators (CPOs) to design, install, manage, and maintain a network of EV charging infrastructure throughout Slough. The procurement is split into two lots based on the power of charge points, with Lot 1 covering a minimum of 1600 Standard AC (below 8kW) charge point sockets, and Lot 2 covering Fast AC and Rapid/Ultra-Rapid DC (above 8kW) charge points. The deadline for tender submission is 13:00 on 2nd May 2025, with the contract expected to start on 1st September 2025 and run until 31st August 2040. This opportunity falls under the industry category of supporting and auxiliary transport services, with further classifications in transport services, construction materials, and transport equipment. The tender process is open and above threshold, and all documentation can be accessed via the In-Tend website.

The LEVI Network project represents a significant business opportunity for companies in the electric vehicle charging sector. Companies specialising in infrastructure development, particularly those with expertise in EV charging technology, are well-suited to compete, especially if they can demonstrate capacity for large-scale deployment and long-term management. The project is supported by the Council's LEVI Capital Fund grant of £2.233 million, aimed at enhancing EV infrastructure for residents lacking off-street parking, thereby creating a steady revenue stream for successful operators through a revenue share agreement. Businesses that can offer innovative solutions that align with SBC's strategic objectives and provide value for money will find this tender an excellent platform for growth and an opportunity to contribute significantly to sustainable transport initiatives in Slough.
