VisitBritain is responsible for marketing Britain worldwide and developing Britain's visitor economy and we work in partnership with the UK Government and other tourism bodies along with industry organisations both in the UK and overseas to market Britain in an inspirational and effective way. We work with the international travel trade and intermediaries to ensure that customers can easily book regional destinations. This activity features a programme of exhibitions and events, including our Destination Britain missions which are held in a number of key locations around the world where we take UK tourism suppliers and destination to markets to meet and do business with local buyers and suppliers. In November 2023 VisitBritain is hosting around 60 top tour operators and media guests from China and Hong Kong specially selected by its team in market. These guests will take part in VisitBritain's annual industry event, Destination Britain China from 22 - 24 November 2023, where they will meet and do business with around 40 British tourism suppliers and destinations.
