## Summary

Central Bedfordshire Council is inviting tenders for a two-part contract titled "Community Alarms 2026-28." This tender, under the industry category of alarm-monitoring and call centre services, is directed towards the monitoring and response of community alarms and the provision of related equipment. The contract, scheduled to commence on 16th February 2026, will last for two years with the possibility to extend by two additional years. The procurement, which follows an open procedure, is currently in the tender stage. Interested parties should submit their bids by 24th October 2025 at 12:00 PM. The procurement encompasses a broad delivery area, including the United Kingdom and several overseas territories.

This tender offers substantial business opportunities, particularly for firms specialising in alarm-monitoring, call centre operations, and the installation of safety equipment. Although not specifically targeting SMEs or VCSEs, established companies in these sectors may find this an attractive growth opportunity given the contract's potential extension up to four years. The open procurement method ensures a competitive process, encouraging wide participation and potentially fostering collaborative partnerships. Businesses with robust capabilities in these areas are well-positioned to meet the council's requirements and contribute towards enhancing their service offerings.
