The service must meet the statutory requirements placed on local authorities to provide: Specialist Assessment & support planning Equipment assessment & provision Registration of sensory loss Information & advice Enablement Services to individuals with Hearing , Visual & Dual sensory Disabilities and Parents & carers who have a sensory disability. The following legislation applies: -Care Act 2014. -Children's Act 2004. The successful provider must understand the principle legislation and statutory requirements relating to the provision of these services. The provider must keep up to date on related judgements and consultations and their implications and applications to the service.
