Phase 1A, a conditioning suite, is under construction on site and due for completion in December 2018. Phase 1B sees the core facilities of the sports centre expanded, with the intention to house a new build, two storey building housing a sports hall, with a first storey plant room, and internal storage in accordance with Sports England guidance. The total footprint of the building is approximately 1911.615m2. The University seeks to appoint a Contractor for these works to fulfil both Principal Contractor and Principal Designer responsibilities under the CDM regulations 2015. RIBA Stage 4 information will be available at tender stage. The project must attain a BREEAM rating of Excellent and an EPC A rating. The location of the site is Bailrigg Campus, Lancaster, LA1 4YW. The start on site date for the works is 25th June 2019, with completion by 20th April 2020. Please refer to the Expression of Interest letter for all other dates.
