## Summary

Nottinghamshire County Council has concluded the procurement for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation and support partner, awarding the contract to CGI IT UK LIMITED. This tender pertains to IT services, specifically consulting, software development, Internet and support, and targets the East Midlands region in the United Kingdom. The procurement process has progressed to the award stage, with the contract commencing on 6th October 2025 and running until 5th October 2030, valuing approximately £7,385,364.49. The tender was originally set to end on 25th April 2025. This procurement was initiated to ensure continuity of SAP services within the Council, necessitated by the end of security updates for the existing system by July 2026.

This contract presents an opportunity for large-scale IT firms, particularly those experienced in ERP system implementation and support. SMEs and VCSEs are not targeted. For businesses capable of delivering robust IT consulting and development services, this contract offers a substantial engagement valued at several million pounds and spanning over a decade. Nottinghamshire County Council, with its established infrastructure and large-scale operational needs, provides a stable and expansive environment for growth in managing critical software systems. Businesses with a proven track record in public sector partnerships, particularly those familiar with SAP systems, will find this opportunity suited to leveraging and expanding their service offerings.

## Notice

SAP was introduced into the Council in 2011 and supports the delivery of the Council's HR/ Payroll, Finance, Procurement, Budgeting/ Forecasting and Reporting Services. The system has a vast number of transactions through it each month. The underlying SAP operating system and associated software will cease to receive security updates from July 2026 and so needs to be reprocured to move to a supported and cloud hosted version. There is not the desire to move away from SAP due to the potential disruption to services and timeframes. The Council is requesting tenders from suitably experienced and qualified providers to be the system implementation and support partner for the duration of the contract with the software provider, a maximum period of ten (10) years. The Council is undertaking a further competition under the terms of the Software Design and Implementation Services, RM6193. The software is being sourced separately via Back Office Software, RM6194.
