This project will see the modernisation and upgrade of all flats and communal areas within sheltered accommodation at Valley View Hillstown and the construction of a new communal room extension to add to the existing facilities. The optional construction of bungalows within the grounds are included within the scheme as per specification. The existing building is currently dependent upon an ageing and dilapidated heating service, offers out-dated living accommodation and has non-standardised kitchen, shower / bathroom facilities. The Tenderer shall be the Principal Contractor and Main Contractor for this project which shall encompass the heating upgrade programme, modernisation and layout changes to bedsits and flats as specified, kitchen upgrade programme, full bathroom to wetroom conversion programme, installation of smoke / heat detection alarms and improvements to fire stopping and the installation of sprinkler systems within all areas of the building.
