## Summary

The procurement process titled "Westminster Playscheme" is led by the Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in London, focused on providing holiday playschemes for 4-12 year-olds. The contract is classified under "Other community, social and personal services" and is scheduled to commence on 1st April 2019, lasting for four years, until 31st March 2022, with a possible one-year extension. The tender period for proposals concluded on 31st January 2019, with required submissions to be sent by post to the contracting authority's Cardiff office. The total contract value is estimated at £384,000, funded through an open procurement method.

This opportunity presents significant growth potential for businesses specialising in childcare and recreational services, particularly those equipped to manage holiday schemes for children. Suppliers should be prepared to cater to an estimated average of 3,665 placements per annum across three sites in London, illustrating a robust demand for effective service provision. This contract's structure offers small to medium-sized enterprises a favourable opportunity, given the concession nature of the contract, which may also allow for collaborative partnerships with public sector organisations.

The Scheme is primarily aimed at 4-12 year olds, providing a service throughout all school holidays and half-term holidays 8:30am to 5pm. It is not possible to accurately predict the potential demand for the scheme and the Authority does not guarantee take-up rates. The three sites are: * Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, 1 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0ET * Department of Work & Pensions, Caxton House, Tothill Street, LONDON, SW1H 9DA * HM Treasury, 1 Horse Guards Road, London, SW1A 2HQ The current split of 90 spaces per school holiday across the three sites is: * Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy: 42 * Department of Work & Pensions: 34 * HM Treasury: 24 * One Place is the provision of One Child for One day from 8:30am to 5pm. This is a concession contract, BEIS and a few other eligible organisations currently subsidise the cost for employees but not all organisations follow this model. Additional information: If you wish to take part in this procurement please see the attached Tender documents attached to this Notice and send your completed Proposal to Victoria Hill at address stipulated in the "Who to Contact" section. Any late submissions will not be considered. BEIS reserves the right to halt the procurement process and to not award a contract. BEIS will not be held liable for recovery of costs from unsuccessful bids if a contract is not awarded. All costs will be borne by the bidding organisations. If a contract is created it will be upon BEIS Standard Terms and Conditions or the Short Form Terms and Conditions, which are available on Contracts Finder with this notice. Completed tender submission must be returned by post to BEIS, address given at the top of this advertisement, by noon 2nd February 2019. We require 3 hard copies (one of which must be signed). Electronic versions of your bids are to be sent AFTER the deadline to Victoria Hill (victoria.hill@beis.gov.uk). After reviewing and evaluating the written proposals, BEIS may decide to hold bid clarification meetings with suppliers. If successful and upon contract signature, the supplier is expected to attend a kick-off meeting taking place in mind-March 2019. Project completion is required by 31/03/2022, unless the option to extend by up to a further 12 months is activated.
