The existing junction is elevated and the new roundabout is elevated on an embankment to match the existing levels. The existing junction creates congestion at peak hours with large queues forming mostly from commuter traffic to Hull in the am peak and from Hull in the pm peak, the proposals are expected to reduce this queuing.
