## Summary

Portsmouth City Council is currently engaged in an award stage of the procurement process for the project titled "Transforming The D-Day Museum Website 2017". This initiative falls under the services industry category, specifically focusing on world wide web site design and operation. The estimated contract value is £60,000, and it includes the design, build, and ongoing support for the museum's website, which aims to enhance visitor information and experience. The contract's initial period began on 1st June 2017 and lasts for five years, with the potential to extend for an additional four years. Suppliers were required to express interest by the deadline of 5th May 2017.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in web development and design services. Companies that can deliver responsive design tailored for various devices, alongside strong technical support, will be well-positioned to compete. Given the emphasis on integrating the D-Day Museum website with other Portsmouth City Council museums, agencies with experience in creating cohesive multi-site operations will find this particularly relevant for their business growth. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, as there is an openness to suitable suppliers.

## Notice

Portsmouth City Council is inviting quotes from suitably qualified suppliers to design, build, deploy and ongoing hosting and support of the D-Day Museum's website. The new website is in support of the redevelopment of the physical museum building and displays, and future activity. The design and style should consider the future rollout and integration of new website(s) with and for the other PCC museums. There should be some online relationship between the D-Day Museum website and the websites for other museums run by PCC. The website must be format responsive. Specifically, suitable for desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile phone presentation. The website needs to present standard information to support any visitor requirements, in addition new functionality is to be developed. The initial Contract period will be for 5 years with the possibility of extending the term by a further four years to a maximum term of nine years in increments to be agreed, subject to the agreement and performance of both parties. The estimated value of the contract is PS60,000 for the website development in addition to any on-going annual charges, for example hosting and technical support. The closing date for receipt of your expression of interest is 5th May 2017 at 2pm.
