## Summary

The London Borough of Hillingdon is conducting a tender for the project titled "Lot 2 - Upgrade of dwelling fire detection to LD1 within High Rise Housing Blocks." This initiative falls under the works category and requires upgrading fire detection systems within three high-rise residential buildings located in London. The procurement method utilised for this process is an open procedure, and the tender period is set to conclude on 23 October 2019. The contractor is anticipated to commence on-site activities around 6 January 2020, with the project expected to last until 27 January 2020. The estimated value of the contract is £160,000.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in fire detection and alarm systems, installation services, and related fire-prevention devices. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the fire safety sector may find this to be a beneficial avenue to expand their portfolio, particularly those equipped with the capability to design and implement comprehensive fire detection systems. As the project involves extensive collaboration with subcontractors, companies with established networks of skilled tradespeople will be well-positioned to compete effectively in this tender process.
