## Summary

The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) in Portsmouth has awarded a contract for its NMRN Brand Development Programme. This initiative, divided into two lots, aims to create a bold, strategic brand development programme that aligns with NMRN's vision of being the world's most inspiring naval museum. Classified under Market and Economic Research (CPV 79300000) and Marketing Management Consultancy Services (CPV 79413000), the tender was executed through an open procedure above the threshold. Key dates include the tender period ending on 26 April 2024 and the contract period from 21 May 2024 to 31 July 2024. This award is for Lot 1, valued at £39,987 GBP, while the entire project budget is valued at £100,000 GBP.

This procurement presents substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs involved in brand strategy, market research, and marketing management consultancy services. Companies with expertise in audience engagement, commercial model development, and creative branding will find this an optimum project to showcase their capabilities. The NMRN's emphasis on market intelligence and strategic insights to guide brand propositions underscores the need for experienced firms that excel in data-driven brand development and management in a historical and cultural context. The project encourages supplier participation through scheduled Market Engagement Days and provides clarity through a well-drafted ITT, making it an attractive proposition for qualified firms aiming to enhance their portfolio with a prestigious client.

## Notice

This brief is issued by the National Museum of the Royal Navy Operations (NMRN Operations) for brand development support services to provide a bold "once in a generation" brand development programme that amplifies our vision to be the world's most inspiring Naval Museum, Linking Navy to Nation. We require a brand strategy that enables NMRN to deliver its strategic aspirations of increasing engagement and participation through growth and diversification of audiences; by optimising its world-class ships and collections; and by developing sustainable, commercial and influential operational models. The strategy will be built on a foundation of market intelligence and insights which will guide us to create a brand portfolio based on a set of brand propositions, and audience prioritisation principles. It will provide clarity on brand position and inform the direction and application for the creative manifestation of the brand across internal and external channels. The tender is split into two lots, please see the ITT for specific information related to this. The NMRN is hosting a Market Engagement Day on-site in Portsmouth that suppliers are welcome to attend to understand this project better, this is contained within the ITT to register for this. All clarifications are to be sent to tenders@nmrn.org.uk
