## Summary

The London Borough of Enfield has completed a public procurement process for the installation of thermoplastic playground markings under the title "MILE-A-DAY PLAYGROUND MARKINGS". This initiative aims to create mile-a-day circuits in schools with high obesity levels in the East of the borough, thereby promoting active play among students. The procurement process utilised an open procedure, with a contract value of £15,000. The award date was 4th January 2019, with the contractors required to deliver the project by 28th February 2019, including a final report submission by 31st March 2019.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary and community sector enterprises (VCSEs) specialising in playground equipment and installation services. Businesses experienced in creating safe, durable, and engaging recreational spaces for schools would be well-suited for participation in similar future tenders. The focus on addressing childhood obesity through engaging active play initiatives enhances the potential for these businesses to contribute positively to community health while expanding their project portfolios.
