## Summary

NHS Supply Chain is inviting suppliers to participate in a tender process for a Framework agreement to supply Central Venous Catheters and associated products. This procurement falls under the category of disposable non-chemical medical consumables and haematological consumables (CPV code 33141000). The procurement stage is currently active, with the tender period ending on 17th February 2025. The contract is planned to commence on 23rd March 2026 and will run until 22nd March 2028, with a possible extension totalling up to 48 months. The initial expected expenditure for the first year is estimated between £30,000,000 and £34,125,000, and the location coverage includes the United Kingdom, British Overseas Territories, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Europe, and the rest of the world. The procurement method is an open procedure (above threshold), making it accessible to eligible companies across these regions.

This tender offers significant business opportunities, particularly for suppliers specialising in medical consumables, including SMEs and VCSEs, due to the open procurement method. The total estimated value over the 4-year duration is up to £136,500,000, representing a considerable market potential. Businesses with expertise in manufacturing or supplying arterial lines, central venous catheters, catheter accessories, and related medical products will find this framework beneficial. Additionally, the Framework Agreement grants latitude for NHS Supply Chain and various NHS entities to procure from other suppliers if necessary, ensuring diversified engagement. This creates a competitive environment encouraging innovation and efficiency, making it an ideal opportunity for businesses looking to expand their footprint in the healthcare sector.
