## Summary

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is seeking a supplier for a project titled "Review and mapping of industry standards relating to online harms." This initiative falls under the research services category and is based in London, United Kingdom. The procurement method employed is selective, with the tender period concluding on 11 March 2020, while the contract period is set to run from 18 March 2020 to 10 April 2020. The awarded contract, valued at £25,000, was confirmed on 17 March 2020 and published on 8 June 2020.

This tender presents valuable opportunities for businesses aiming to expand their reach in the realm of online safety and digital services. Companies specialising in research services, particularly those adept in reviewing and analysing technical standards, would be well-positioned to engage with this contract. As the DCMS focuses on tackling online harms, organisations that can demonstrate experience in developing relevant standards or conducting comprehensive gap analyses will find themselves suitably qualified to compete in this area.

## Notice

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) requires a Supplier to undertake a mapping exercise of existing technical standards (issued by standards developing organisations) that are of relevance to the online harms space, including standards that are intended to target specific online harms and those that are relevant to the actions and technologies commonly used to counter them. This work includes a gap analysis of identified standards with key harms and mitigating actions outlined in the government's Online Harms White Paper ('OHWP') published in April 2019. The scope of this work consists of: - Reviewing and mapping of existing technical standards that have been produced by standards bodies that are relevant to online harms; - Undertaking a gap analysis of these existing standards, the harms that they are in response to, and the harms outlined in the government's Online Harms White Paper; and - Producing a final report on these findings.
