To assist with a new manufacturing process, Buoyant Works has a requirement to be able to cut large cavity filled polymer blocks into much smaller sections. The original blocks can be as large as 2000mm long x 1000mm wide x 800mm high and be up to 1000kg in weight. The intention is to cut these large blocks into smaller blocks roughly 300mm cubed. It has been identified that a vertical bandsaw with a moving hydraulic table and that is capable of cutting aluminium is best suited to this application. The purchase of this system is part of a grant funded application process and therefore procurement will be subject to grant approval of the project.
