## Summary

The procurement process involves a contract awarded by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) for the procurement of software and licences, excluding Microsoft products, to satisfy both existing and new requirements. The contract, valued at £14,904,550, falls under the IT services category (CPV code 72000000) and was awarded through a selective procurement method via a call-off from a framework agreement. The contract period commenced on 29 November 2021 and is set to continue until 28 November 2023. The tender was open for submissions until 26 November 2021, with the contract being awarded and published on 2 March 2022. The geographical scope includes the United Kingdom and British Overseas Territories.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in IT services, particularly those that can offer a diverse range of software solutions, consulting, and support services. Companies that can demonstrate compliance with government frameworks and provide best value for money will be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, suppliers should be prepared to manage licence compliance and communicate any changes to licensing terms. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) would be particularly suited to participate, especially those with capabilities in providing software for governmental and enterprise-level applications.
