## Summary

The Peterborough City Council is initiating a tender titled "Soft Market Test for Learning Disability Floating Community Support to support with 2021-2022 winter pressures - PRF 1307." This procurement falls under the health and social work services category and is based in Peterborough, England. Currently, the procurement is in the planning stage, with a key engagement deadline set for 22nd November 2021. The purpose of this early engagement is to gather insights from potential CQC registered domiciliary care and supported living service providers on how they can assist local authorities in managing increased demand during the winter months.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly those in the social care sector, to contribute to the local health system's responsiveness during winter pressures. Enterprises specialising in domiciliary care and supported living services are encouraged to participate, as their insights could shape the forthcoming procurement. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly well-suited to compete, as the council aims to leverage innovative solutions to support adults with learning disabilities and autism in critical situations.

## Notice

n anticipation of increased demand Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) and Peterborough City Council (PCC) are planning to support the community and wider health system to operate proactively over the winter months. This is an opportunity for CQC registered domiciliary care and supported living service providers to submit suggestions as to how they could support the local authorities to offer support from December 2021 to March 2022 to adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, who in an emergency may require accommodation to avoid hospital admission, accelerate discharge from hospital or other crisis situations. Potential providers are invited to respond to the questions concerning the proposed service to be procured. Responses to these questions may be used to inform our commissioning approach to the tender exercise. In order to make an informed decision on the optimum procurement approach we are looking to the market to assist. Please note that this is not a call for competition, neither is it a procurement exercise but an opportunity for Peterborough City Council to better understand the supply market and for providers to showcase their ideas.
