This represents an exciting opportunity for prospective partner organisation(s) to work with two new unitary authorities, which will replace the existing 'two tier' system comprising the county council and seven borough/district councils in April 2021, in continuing to drive improvements in service delivery standards and efficiency. Please note: this event is not an invitation to tender or a request for formal expressions of interest. This notice is placed in order to facilitate further market engagement and update potential providers, following the soft market testing exercise, earlier this year. This notice is of an Industry Day, to provide a pre-procurement market briefing, rather than a call for competition in its own right, and therefore response does not commit respondents to bid, nor provide any process exemptions or preferential treatment to any provider registering to attend. This will be a virtual event and is to be held on Wednesday 9th December anticipated time 1.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m. Areas to be covered include: * Background to NCC highways network and current arrangements; * Potential scope of future contract * Transfer of service provision from NCC to two Unitary authorities * Key contract elements * Procurement process * Planned timetable * Question and Answer Session Interested providers are required to register to attend through ProContract messaging area, advising names and positions of those who will be attending, not later than 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday 1st December.
