The scheduled area comprises an island surrounded by a moat, fishponds and, the standing remains on the island. The Orpington and District Archaeological Society (ODAS) hold a Licence from the Council for archaeological work at the manor site (this work is ongoing) and undertake some maintenance work on the vegetation.
