## Summary

East Suffolk Council has awarded a contract to Ove Arup & Partners Limited for the "Infrastructure Asset Mapping Phase 1" project. This initiative involves working with national and regional infrastructure providers to address coastal resilience. The project falls under the industry categories of research consultancy services, marine conservation strategy planning, and environmental monitoring, with a primary focus on services. The contract was formally awarded on 22nd August 2024, and the work is scheduled to run from 14th August 2024 to 28th February 2025. Locations involved include the United Kingdom, British Overseas Territories, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Europe, and other global regions. The procurement process utilised a selective method via a restricted procedure.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in infrastructure consultancy, coastal engineering, and environmental conservation. Companies capable of convening and facilitating multi-stakeholder discussions, identifying data sources, and providing technical support will find this project particularly suitable. By participating in this initiative, businesses can enhance their portfolio and demonstrate expertise in managing and improving infrastructure resilience to coastal changes, potentially opening doors to future phases of work and similar contracts in the public sector.

## Notice

This piece of work will involve engaging with infrastructure providers (including national and regional gas, national and regional electricity, and regional water network operators) on coastal resilience. Your organisation will be responsible for convening, leading and facilitating multi-stakeholder meetings and eliciting and mediating between their requirements and those of the Resilient Coasts project. You will identify data sources, provide technical support and collect relevant information to inform a second phase of work - technical platform delivery. CPE (Coastal Partnership East) representative(s) will attend phase one meetings to build relationships and to provide technical coastal knowledge. This phase is vital to ensure infrastructure network operators are aware of the short- and long-term coastal risks and to ensure they are considering how they could improve their resilience to coastal change. This 1st phase is also vital as it will inform the requirements of the phase 2 platform. (Phase 2 - platform technical delivery, will be procured separately following the completion of this 1st phase).
