## Notice

**Please note this is not a call for competition** This is a PIN notice for an event UK Research and Innovation have a requirement for an independent impact evaluation of the Faraday Battery Challenge. The UKRI Board are committed to collecting evidence to understand the impacts of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF) Faraday Battery Challenge. Delivered primarily through UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), it combines the UK's research strength funded through Research Councils with the business focussed, competitive approach of Innovate UK. The aim is to accelerate the application of UK industry-led solutions in challenges in which specific programmes will look to develop technologies, products, services and process where the global market is potentially large, and the UK has the scientific and business capability to become a world-leader. The aim of the evaluation is to assess the extent to which the Faraday Battery Challenge (FBC) is making or has made an impact taking into account its original goals. This evaluation will focus on utilising the existing baseline and evaluation framework and work completed to date, revise the approach as necessary to complete impact evaluation. The evaluation needs to test the extent to which the programme will deliver the outcomes and impact as expected and outlined in the delivery plan and the extent to which these are attributable to ISCF funding. Where outcomes have not yet materialised, for example due to long lead times, the evaluation should consider the interim outcomes that provide an indication of future impact. It is expected that the evaluation will consider each strand of the programme in detail, as well as the overall impact of the combined programme. This supplier engagement is for part of Phase 1 (revised evaluation framework), Phase 2 and 3 preparing for the final end of programme phase. The successful bidder will need to refine and update the evaluation framework and baseline outlined as necessary. This could include use of a revised logic model, implement additional ongoing survey data collection and analysis or any changes required for data collection. This is to enable a robust assessment of the additional impact of the programme on inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impacts in Phase 2 and 3. Phase 2 involves the delivery of Interim impact evaluation report. Interim impact evaluation, final report and handover for future evaluation beyond the life of the programme. The purpose of the impact evaluation report (both interim and final) is to provide quantitative and qualitative data concerning the direct and indirect industry level outcomes of the programme to date. This data must relate to the specific indirect and industry level benefits as identified on the benefits map. Phase 3 involves the delivery of the Final impact evaluation report.
