The swimming pool roof is part of the Waterside Farm Leisure Centre building and is located on the Western end of the building (the other roofs are not part of this Solar PV installation scheme). The Leisure Centre is part of the Waterside Farm Site, surrounded by service roads, sports fields, and parking areas. The swimming pool building is adjacent to the nearby St John Ambulance building, the A1 Motorbike training area to the south, and the Canvey Miniature Railway to the northwest. The B1014 Somnes Avenue and the A130 Canvey Road border the site boundaries.
