Following a staff consultation, the Trust reviewed its Freedom to Speak up Guardian Provision. It has identified that an external provider will best serve the staff and users of the Trust services by providing the independence of the service and accessibility (24/7 for 365 days of the year) for all Trust staff (approximately 9000 people). The Trust has a "Speak Up" policy in place to encourage and support staff to raise concerns. This policy reflects how the Trust meets the National requirement for a Freedom to Speak up Guardian and provides a clear framework for the operationalisation of the Freedom to Speak up Guardian provision within the workplace.
