## Summary

The project, which has a budget of £400,000 and is primarily classified under the CPV code for construction work for university buildings, aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region with technologies such as virtual, augmented, and mixed reality. This tender falls under an open procurement method and is currently at the Award stage, with the contract expected to commence on 30th June 2020 and conclude by 30th December 2020. The tender period closed on 5th June 2020.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for construction and technology firms, particularly those with experience in educational or research facility projects. SMEs specialising in building construction, IT installations, and innovative technological solutions could successfully engage in this tender, contributing to the establishment of a pioneering facility that will benefit the regional economy. Engagement with collaborative efforts in construction and design would also be essential, as the successful contractor will need to coordinate closely with the existing design consultancy team.
